Caring for the community

So last Saturday as it snowed, the sweetheart and I went to his school's Community Cares Day and tried to help out some neighborhood families.

Sadly, as the weather wasn't nice at all, very few people came out. However, I mastered some facepainting skills and we did see a couple friends shave their heads for cancer research fundraising.

Below are some pics.
First are of the honey waiting for community citizens to come by his table. And why not test other med-students while we wait? And be sure to notice the ultra-chic poster I made for the table. Even did the caduceus (the snake staff thing) freehand!

This one's of the sweetie and his co-president, Caitlyn, accepting the award for best club of the year for their Family Medicine Interest Group from Dr. Solhaug.

And here's one of the two sexiest bunnies you've ever seen.

And here's Dr. Aravich and company showing off his human brains and heart collection to small children. Nice.

This one is of Sydney, a girl who I painted a friendly dinosaur on. Check out those little brown shoes on him! I didn't know dinosaurs needed brown shoes, but according the Sydney they do.

And of course, here's my facepaint job thanks to Ryan.

Now in this one, if you squint hard enough, you can see the snowflakes.

And lastly are the head shaving pics.

TAH-Dah. And that's it with the community cares day. Not too exciting, I know. But no one from the community cared to come thanks to the snow. Snow - in April.
