Just call me Grace
For my fans out there, I'm sorry I haven't been writing this week. But I have a really true, yet insanely stupid reason for not writing.
You see I was at work Monday morning and was upstairs (there are only 2 floors in the building) getting some supplies for my desk. As I was coming back down the steps with my hands full, my ankle decides to pick that moment in time to roll out - causing me to loose all balance and composure.
Yep, I did.
I fell all the way down about 15 or so very steep steps. I crashed, banged and boomed my way down to the very bottom and must have made enough noise to signal everyone in the office to come running.
So I'm all sprawled out and looking what I can only imagine as not my finest, when about 15 people surround me from up above and through the stairwell exit asking me the oh-so-brilliant question of "are you okay?"
Yes, it's nice to ask - but look at me folks. I'm obviously rattled and shaken and not looking picture perfect. I just fell down about 15 out of 17 steps. Not good, no.
But as of today - 48 hours later - I'm recovering and thankfully don't have any broken bones or body parts. I'm bruised and sore, but not broken. I look pathetic in a neck brace, a sling and an ankle brace, but I'm not broken. Well, my pride is a little, but that's to be expected.
So I'm recovering and don't want to even think about stairs ever again. Just think of me as the lazy one who always takes the elevator. I'll make sure that's safe for everyone. It's got to be safer than the stairs.

I love you from the top of your bruised head to the bottom of your foot the ankle brace is on.
ooohhh! you poor thing!!!! I'm so glad you're ok and didn't break your neck or something awful! It sounds like you're pretty banged up though...hugs (but not too tight of a hug) :) for a swift recovery!
