Just a thought...

Okay, so is anyone else out there a little perplexed about good old Key Lay falling over dead all the sudden last week?

Not that death isn't a part of life, and it's not like I'm trying to badmouth the insanely rich criminal - but I just find it odd.

And it's not like the guy died in prison like some 9,034,865,096,780 other criminals do. Nope. He's off in Aspen in a nice, and I'm sure "small" and "conservative," mansion.

So let me get this straight for those a little lost. This guy, former CEO of Enron, was indicted on 10 counts (don't quote me on that - but I'm pretty sure that's right) of wrong doing for his role in the Enron fiasco. He bilked thousands of people out of their hard earned money and retirements and years after finally got indicted for it.

Meanwhile, he's still rich enough to get to Aspen and enjoy his life while waiting for his sentencing later this fall.

What a poor guy - all those hidden millions and still was facing 10-25 years per charge. Basically the rest of his life he was going to be imprisoned. Granted, he most likely would have been at the all-fluff, daycare for adults facility, but he'd still been serving time.

And now, mysteriously (at least to me) he turns up dead before he serves one day.

Hmmmmm.... millions of dollars stashed away... "heart attack" in Aspen... impending jail sentencing... and requested privacy for the family....

What is it I'm not getting here? Isn't this a little all too convenient for this guy to now be dead? I mean, isn't that a easy way to avoid more smearing of your name and reputation. Sure he was convicted - but he never served a day.

So what's to say that Ken Lay's not off in Mexico or Russia or Chile camping out with the name Epifanio (meaning appearance or manifestation in Spanish) or Mogilnikov (it means gravedigger in Russian) and living off the millions he earned through deceit and corruption? What's to say he isn't still alive and well and hiding out, waiting for his family to finish "mourning" him and then join him on a world cruise covering all 7 continents?

I'm just saying... it's all a little too easy for me to believe he's dead. I don't care what the doctors say, and I'm not buying into any faked death certificates or autopsies. Nope. He's just not dead. He's out waiting to ruin the lives of many other people in other lands. Apparently raping the hardworking American people just wasn't enough.
