Buy me some peanuts and Crackerjacks
Well, last Friday on a whim, and not wanting to sit vegged out in front of the TV yet again, the husband and I went to our local minor league baseball team's second-to-last game of the season.
We'd never been to a Norfolk Tides game before and thought it'd be a good (and cheap) way to pass the evening.
The start of our outing was a little rough with me having to wait with the car while the sweetie had to go in the park to get cash to pay for parking (after being asked before we left if we needed to stop get cash), and the stupid nosebleed teeni-tiny and hard seats that hurt my bottom. But once we moved past all that it was a good night. And if nothing else, the people-watching was fun and we got a bonus fireworks display after the game.
Plus, ballpark food is the best. Nachos and a funnel cake were my choices for the evening, and the sweetie had hot dogs and a deep-fried Twinkie. I think he'll echo my warnings to all about deep-fried Twinkies - don't do it. He wanted to try it just because it's an interesting concept, but folks - leave it at that and stick to the funnel cakes or the peanuts and Crackerjacks.
Anyway, the home team lost, but we really we're that invested in the game to begin with. But, here's some fun pictures from the night...

Alright lady, we need to have a talk about not announcing your husband's faults to the whole world for not getting cash with which to park...
Ahh...to have been at the game too. The pic of the waterline makes me homesick for VA and all my friends there! Tell Ben Hi for me!
Samuel would have been proud of you. He and Dad are going with the RA's to the Texas Rangers in a couple of weeks. That's our "minor" league team.
Great pics girl...you're an amazing photographer- love that kid with the mohawk! rockin!
