Air in my lungs
When you were a child first learning to really swim, do you remember how learning how to hold you breath underwater felt? How your lungs ached for air? That burning sensation in your chest and the feeling like you could explode out of the water in search of air? You remember how it felt when you'd been underwater for such a long time (at least in your mind) and how amazingly that first breath of fresh air felt as it filled your lungs?
I got my first breath from all this work today. It's not anything huge, but it feels wonderful. It's basically just a short blip of rest before another tidal wave of nagging, stress and demands come rushing back in, but it's nice. I can sit here, sipping on my coffee and catch up on my own blogging as well as reading others.
Then, even more amazingly, I get to leave my office today for a lunch meeting that ought to keep me out for at least a couple of hours. The added bonus? No one else from my work is going. It's not really worked related as much as something I personally wanted to go hear.
Anyway, all that being said. I'm glad to be back to you today with fresh air in my lungs and shockingly with a slight smile on my face.
AHHHHHH. I'll enjoy it while it lasts. You enjoy your day and wherever it make take you.
