You really do love me!

Okay, to reward those who read and commented on the map to mark your little corner of the world - thank you! I knew I could count on you. (For those who are not understanding this, read previous post.)

To reward your good behavior (positive reinforcement is a must!) I'm giving you another fun post for the day.

A few of my biggest pet peeves. Not what my pets do that peeve me - but what other humans do that tick me off...

First, in honor of tropical storm Alberto that's sitting on top of us dumping tons of rain today, is people who can drive fairly decently in normal conditions but turn into maniacs when it's raining. Ummm, it's water. And after the 3 inches that's already fallen today - it's not making a big difference in the road conditions now. The first few hours of rain washed away all the excess oil and fluids that was on the roads. So stop creeping along and drive!!! Oh and to you Mr. H2 Hummer - please stop deliberately running through the world's biggest water puddles. Just drive on the road like everyone else. I don't care ho much you paid for the freakin' gas guzzler.

Second, I'm mad at the fact I must be the only woman in the world who knows how to replace the roll of toilet paper. I've been to several shared bathroom spaces in the past week and it never fails I find the stall that is fully stocked with extra rolls of paper - but still has a paperless tube on the roll. I don't get it. How hard is this? It takes less than a minute of your life, I swear.

Third, cell phones. They're a mixed blessing. You have to have it, but need to know how to use it at reasonable and considerable audio levels. Or how about learning when not to use it. For instance: church - no use; ultra nice dinner at a nice restaurant - no use; McDonalds - use when not in line or right in someone else's ear; the ride home - if hands-free and it's not too distracting; on a date - NEVER; in a movie - don't even think about it!!! I mean, come on people. Common sense and manners. Get some!

Fourth, parents that refuse to parent their horrible monsters. Ummm, your brought the nice little idiot into the world. You're its caretaker. Taking care of it means more than not letting it harm itself or others. It's teaching it respect, responsibility and consequences for actions. Stop making empty threats and make the child listen, learn and obey. It's your duty now that the little precious beast is living among the rest of the world.

And last - just to get everyone's blood good and boiling - people who go beyond the word lazy. They're fully able and capable of holding down a job and contributing to society. Yet, they suck off the government, have countless welfare babies for the rest of society to support and still manage to drive that Cadillac SUV. You're 17 honey. Get out of the government paid housing, go get that GED, get some training or get a full time job. Now, I understand that not everyone is physically or mentally able to. That's fine. I'm not talking about those people. I'm talking about the kids who figure up exactly how many kids they need to have to make a profit off the government and can support themselves without ever having to work by popping out kiddos. Listen, I have no hesitation helping those who seriously can not make it on their own - but paying for someone who refuses to help better themselves - I hate it.

And that' my soapbox for today. Just be glad it doesn't get this dark and rainy all the time here.
